CURRICULUM IN MUSIC EDUCATION
For the Degree of Bachelor of Music Education
A minimum of 130 hours of credit is required for graduation. This curriculum prepares its graduates for teaching music in grades kindergarten through twelve. For teacher education requirements applicable to all curricula, see the Council on Teacher Education section elsewhere in this catalog.
All students are required to enroll in at least one approved performance ensemble each semester in residence, except the semester when they student teach, and must demonstrate keyboard competency.
