The Division of English as an International Language has merged with the Department of Linguistics (effective Fall semester, 2008). The Department of Linguistics offers programs of study for the Master of Arts in the Teaching of English as a Second Language (MATESL), and the Ph.D. in Linguistics with a specialization in second language studies. Interested students should consult the Department of Linguistics programs of study for information about admission, degree requirements and financial aid.
