36 | At least 6 hours of credit in each of the following areas: economics, literature, history, philosophy, political science, and sociology or anthropology. Courses taken in these fields may, if they qualify, also fulfill the requirement of advanced hours outside the College of Communications. Undergraduate seminar courses (199) and hours earned through placement tests may not be used to fulfill these departmental requirements. |

Undergraduate seminar courses (199), independent study courses, and hours earned through placement tests may not be used to fulfill any of these departmental requirements. |
