The Women's Studies Program offers an interdisciplinary minor to any
student enrolled in a major in the sciences and letters curriculum in
the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. On the recommendation of
the director of the Women's Studies Program, the dean of the College
of Liberal Arts and Sciences will verify in writing that the student
has satisfied the requirements for this minor upon the completion of
the following:
1. Twenty-four hours of women's studies courses, including:
a.
W S 111--Introduction to Women's Studies in the Humanities
b.
W S 112--Introduction to Women's Studies in the Social Sciences
c. Eighteen hours in other courses either offered by or
cross-listed with the Women's Studies Program, which must include 9
hours in advanced courses (i.e., 300-level or designated 200-level). A
list of acceptable courses may be obtained in the Women's Studies
Office.
2. Additional requirements:
a. Students must officially declare their minor by
registering with the Women's Studies adviser.
b. The program of study must be approved by the Women's
Studies Program adviser to ensure its coherence.
c. A minimum grade-point average of 3.75 is required for
completion of the minor.
