For the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering
The program in metallurgical engineering is administered by and is
part of the Department of Materials Science and
Engineering. Metallurgical engineering is one of the principal fields
dealing with materials: their properties, behavior, and
application. Major industries such as steel, automotive,
transportation, and construction depend heavily on metals and
alloys. The metallurgical engineering curriculum provides a strong
background in engineering and applied science with emphasis on
physical metallurgy.
The curriculum requires 128 hours for graduation.
