For the Degree of Bachelor of Arts in the Teaching of Speech
This program is designed to give the teacher a foundation in the areas of public speaking, communication, and theatre arts. A minimum of 132 hours of credit is required for graduation. Students are advised that additional course work may be necessary to teach middle grades six through eight after June 30, 1996. Consult the certification officer in 110 Education Building for additional
Departmental Distinction. The requirements for distinction
in the curriculum preparatory to the teaching of speech are the same
as those for speech communication.
